Tanach Class

The word Tanach is an acronym which traditionally means Torah ("Teaching", also known as the Five Books of Moses), Nevi'im ("Prophets") and Ketuvim ("Writings"). However, at ABOUT Torah we also consider the Brit Hadasha (New Covenant) as part of the Tanach class. As a result, the Tenach Class is designed to train students using the entire scriptures. The goal is to convey to the students to interrelated concepts that are presented through out all of the scriptures. Therefore, this class deals with subjects such as prophecy, the role of the Torah as related to non-Jews, and the concepts of what the biblical messiah should be like. For assignments in this class students are given scriptural passages and asked to write a paper explaining how these passages are interrelated. For this class the instructor is also available for individually schedule meeting to discuss the class work. However, it is the responsibility of the student to request a meeting with the instructor. This is because our instructors time is valuable, therefore students must be fit into the instructors schedule. If you have any further questions pleas send them to studentinfo@about-torah.org.
